The LCMS-9030 Quadrupole Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer Wins an iF DESIGN AWARD 2019

Shimadzu’s LCMS-9030 quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been awarded an iF DESIGN AWARD 2019.

The iF DESIGN AWARD, which has been conferred by iF International Forum Design GmbH since 1953, is a prestigious international design award. On this occasion, there were 6,375 entries from 52 countries.

The Shimadzu LCMS-9030 won in the Industry/Tools category. Previous winners of an iF DESIGN AWARD include the VESTA vacuum and pressurized sintering furnace from Shimadzu Industrial Systems Co., Ltd. in 2012; the Shimadzu PDA-5000 optical emission spectrometer in 2015; and the Shimadzu China Mass Spectrometry Center, a research and development facility at Shimadzu (China) Co., Ltd., a Chinese subsidiary of Shimadzu, in 2017.

The awards ceremony will be held in Munich, Germany on March 15, 2019.

LCMS-9030 Quadrupole Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

The LCMS-9030 is the first quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer to be produced in Japan that combines excellent sensitivity and resolution. It combines technology cultivated through the development of triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, a major product at Shimadzu, with newly developed patented proprietary technology. It is effective for the quantitation, identification, and structural analysis of trace compounds with complicated structures, in fields such as the environment, forensic medicine, foods, and the life sciences.
