Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high-technology solutions, information and services for industry and research, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Blair as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He will join the Board from [3 July] 2017 and will also take on the role of Senior Independent Director.
Steve was most recently the Chief Executive of e2v, a manufacturer of sensors, radio frequency generators and semiconductors. E2v was a listed company until its recent acquisition by Teledyne Technologies in March 2017. Previously Steve was Business Group Director for Spectris plc. Steve has a breadth of experience covering established and high growth emerging markets, strategic planning and portfolio development. Steve holds a B.Eng (hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
