Leica Microsystems has been certified by TÜV SÜD for conformance of its quality and environmental management system to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015, as well as its medical products to DIN EN ISO 13485:2016. The certification was carried out using the so-called matrix certification procedure and applies to all Leica Microsystems locations worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Peter Schaff, CEO Division Business Assurance at TÜV SÜD, took the opportunity to personally present the certificate at a small ceremony in Wetzlar.
“The success of Leica Microsystems is based on innovative products of the highest quality. Our customers all over the world benefit from this,” says Markus Lusser, President of Leica Microsystems. “Our new certification emphasizes the high-quality standards of our products and is clear proof that we practice a modern quality and environmental management assessed according to objective criteria”.
During the certification process, TÜV SÜD auditors expressed their appreciation for the quality and environmental standards and the high level of maturity of Leica Microsystems’ management systems.
The certification was preceded by the harmonization and introduction of a global quality and environmental management system. TÜV SÜD is now Leica Microsystems’ global contact for certification and compliance and replaces the previous six different certification authorities which are located across the world.
