BINDER receives trophy for innovation

Trophy for BINDER

BINDER GmbH is the proud winner of an exquisite glass trophy from magazine WirtschaftsWoche, recognizing its status as one of the most innovative companies in Germany.

As CEO Peter Michael Binder expressed, the company is overjoyed with the prize: “Our products are innovative, and our employees are too. I’m extremely proud of this fact and am delighted that the wider public has recognized this too.”

Over 3,500 companies were put under the microscope in the process of WirtschaftsWoche putting together its rankings. 50 “Innovation Champions 2018” were chosen out of 400 finalists whose industry-leading qualities and recent innovations make them stand out from the crowd. The final selection was based on what the magazine termed an “innovation score”, two thirds of which was made up of innovative capacity and the remaining one third of performance.

The process of determining innovative capacity looked at the extent to which companies were raising their profiles through ongoing new developments, whether the market and competitors considered them to be an innovative force, and whether they were investing continually in innovations.

BINDER was in fact ranked among the top ten whose names were ultimately selected. The top 50 are growing at three times the rate of Germany’s medium-sized enterprises as a whole, and their ongoing innovation is helping them to increasing their profitability at three times the speed: While medium-sized enterprises are collectively achieving just 4.9 percent sales growth on average, the Innovation Champions are growing at a rate of some 13.5 percent. The winning companies are significantly above the average income growth of medium-sized companies as a whole too, achieving 25.9 percent as compared to 8.7 percent.

BINDER is extremely proud of the accolade and the development that the company has undergone in the past year. It already has plans in place that will enable it to keep driving both growth and innovation within BINDER.
