— Establishing a global laboratory structure covering nine locations in five countries —
Shanghai, China, March 20, 2018—Hitachi High-Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a Chinese subsidiary of Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation (TSE: 8036, Hitachi High-Tech) announces that it has opened “Hitachi High-Tech Science Park Shanghai Lab” (Shanghai Lab) in Shanghai, China on June 20, 2018 to promote the development, sales, and support of analytical instruments. With the establishment of Shanghai Lab, Hitachi High-Tech has formulated a collaboration structure to conduct demonstrations and R&D at nine locations in five countries in the world.
Hitachi High-Tech is increasing its focus on collaboration with customers as well as business partners with a particular emphasis on early-stage R&D. Meanwhile, to keep up with rapidly changing needs in the domestic and global markets for science and medical systems, Hitachi High-Tech has established the R&D support structure closely with customers and business partners to accelerate joint research and collaboration and develop new applications and solutions.
Shanghai Lab is positioned as Hitachi High-Tech’s application-development center supporting collaboration with academia and research institutes, and Hitachi High-Tech aims to use it to accelerate its sales of scientific instruments, including electron microscopes, and to provide prompt after-sales service and support to rapidly increasing customers in China. Hitachi High-Tech will also utilize Shanghai Lab as a total-solution service center for applications of XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) and TA (Thermal Analysis) instruments manufactured by Hitachi High-Tech Science Corporation to improve customer satisfaction.
In addition to its long-established labs in Japan, USA, and Germany, Hitachi High-Tech has recently opened two new labs: one in California, USA (June 2017) and another in Manchester, UK (January 2018). With Shanghai Lab, Hitachi High-Tech now has a global lab structure at nine locations in five countries. Hitachi High-Tech aims to strengthen the marketing and sales capabilities globally, in such regions as Asia, North America, Europe, and more, expanding collaboration with our customers and providing new applications and world-leading solutions.
With the establishment of Hitachi High-Tech Science Park, Hitachi High-Tech aims to further enhance customer satisfaction and expand its business as a leading company in the fields of biotechnology, healthcare, and social and industrial infrastructure.
