Waters Corporation CEO Chris O’Connell to Officiate at New Facility Opening in Brasov, Romania

BRASOV, Romania–(BUSINESS WIRE)– On Thursday, September 28, Waters Corporation will officially inaugurate its Romanian Software Development Center, a new facility that employs more than 160 software engineers, applications support, product owners and support staff. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 1 p.m. EEST time Waters CEO Chris O’Connell will address employees, contractors, academic and community leaders.

The new 3,500 Sq m site is home to the largest contingent of Waters^® software engineers outside of corporate headquarters in the United States. Employees in Brasov create state-of-the-art enterprise software applications which deliver benefit to new and existing customers working in various academic, government and corporate laboratories throughout the world.

The company’s world-class software products – Empower^®, MassLynx^®, NuGenesis^® and UNIFI^® – are used primarily by drug manufacturers to manage liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry test data at all stages of the product lifecycle – discovery, development and manufacturing – to meet the highest standards of product efficacy, safety, and quality.
