MENLO PARK, Calif., Aug. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACB) today announced financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2018.Total revenue for the second quarter of 2018 was $21.6 million, compared to $20.1 million for the second quarter of 2017.Gross profit for the second quarter of 2018 was $8.9 million, resulting in a gross margin of 41.1%. Gross profit for the second quarter of 2017 was $8.0 million, resulting in a gross margin of 39.9%.Operating expenses for the second quarter of 2018 totaled $30.6 million, compared to $32.4 million for the second quarter of 2017.
